Our approach

Independent advice. Aligned interests. Your broker on every trade.

Integra is a boutique water brokerage, independently owned and free of conflicts. The broker who answers your call is the same broker who executes your trade and settles your paperwork — ensuring continuity, accountability and a genuine alignment of interest. We know our clients better than anyone in this market, and it shows in every trade.

Tatura, Goulburn Valley.
On the ground, in the markets we know.

  1. 01Broker-led

The broker who answers is the broker who settles.

No call centre, no sales pitch, no rotating account manager. The same broker who picks up the phone is the same broker who quotes your trade, drafts your paperwork and sees it through to settlement. One person, complete accountability, every time.

  2. 02No conflicts

    Transparent fees. No hidden positions.

We don’t trade our own book and we don’t take the spread. Our fees and commission are charged to both buyer and seller, disclosed in full before either party commits, and are the only way we earn. No tied lending, no proprietary positions, no undisclosed incentives. When you know exactly how your broker is paid, you can trust the advice.

  3. 03We know you

Nobody knows their clients like we do.

We’ve worked with the same clients, across the same zones, through every market cycle for two decades. We know your water portfolio, your seasonal strategy, your crop profile and how your operation has evolved. That depth of understanding — built over years, not transactions — means better timing, better structuring and fewer surprises. It’s the advantage of a broker who remembers.

Market coverage

Deep expertise across the southern basin.

We advise on and transact temporary allocation and permanent entitlement across the Murray-Darling Basin. If your zone is not listed here, we welcome the conversation — our coverage extends well beyond these core markets.

Greater Goulburn

Our home market. We transact Zone 1A allocation and entitlements daily across Goulburn, Broken, Loddon and Campaspe — settling through Goulburn-Murray Water. Deep familiarity with carryover positions and seasonal determinations informs every recommendation.

Murray Above the Choke

The Murray upstream of the Barmah Choke. Inter-valley transfer limits between Zone 6 and Zone 7 remain the primary driver of southern-basin price divergence — we monitor these positions closely and advise clients when conditions favour action.

The Lower Murray through to the South Australian border. Distinct market dynamics, participant profiles and pricing. We transact Zone 7 allocation, permanent entitlement and SA Class 3 high-security shares with the same depth of coverage.

Frequently asked questions

What informed participants ask before engaging a broker.

How do I know I’m getting a fair price?
We provide full market transparency. Every quote is benchmarked against live exchange data, and we present both bid and offer so you can assess value independently. Our role is to ensure you transact with confidence, not to obscure the market.
How do you get paid?
Fees and commission, charged to both buyer and seller, disclosed in full before either party commits. We don’t trade our own book and we don’t take the spread. You always know exactly what you’re paying and why.
How fast can a trade actually settle?
Execution can occur on the same day, subject to completed documentation. Funds settle the following business day through our regulated trust account. We manage each step of the process so the timeline is clear from the outset.
When should I call — at the start of the season, or when I need to trade?
Early in the season. Allocation announcements, carryover decisions, IVT windows and forward pricing all influence the value and timing of your water position. A considered conversation well ahead of peak demand consistently delivers better outcomes than reacting under pressure.
Do you handle permanent entitlement, not just temporary allocation?
We advise across the full spectrum: temporary allocation, permanent entitlement, leases, forward contracts and carryover. Whether you are managing an operational water portfolio, restructuring holdings, or building a long-term investment position, we have the capability and experience to support it.
Can I get the market without committing to trade?
Of course. Many of our client relationships begin with a conversation, not a transaction. We are happy to provide current pricing, market context and our outlook with no obligation. For those who value ongoing intelligence, we publish a weekly market note covering zones, volumes and recent clearing levels.
Are you regulated, and what’s the recourse if something goes wrong?
We operate under the Water Market Intermediaries Code of Conduct and maintain full trust accounting compliance. We are members of the Australian Water Brokers Association (AWBA). All trades settle through the relevant state authority — Goulburn-Murray Water, Lower Murray Water, WaterNSW or DEW South Australia — providing an independent legal record and robust client protection.
What if I want more than just trade execution?
Many of our clients engage us as a strategic partner across the water year. Our advisory services include portfolio review, seasonal planning, IVT and carryover strategy, and entitlement structuring. For irrigators, corporate farmers and investors seeking informed guidance rather than a transactional service, this is where we add the most value.
